Epitope mapping

Antibody Technologies provides characterization of antibody binding sites at the amino acid level. While continuous epitopes typically are characterized using traditional peptide library screenings in immunoassays, discontinuous epitopes are characterized by mass spectrometry. Using this approach several antibody binding-sites have been characterized.

Information gathered comprises:

  • Relevance of the individual amino acids
  • Identification of hot spot amino acids
  • Structural requirements
